Flight prices to Paris follow a fairly predictable seasonal curve, driven by tourism demand, French school holidays, and how much transatlantic and European capacity is flying at any given time.
The cheapest months to fly
January through March, plus late November, consistently bring the softest fares into Paris. Demand drops off sharply once the New Year holidays wind down, and airlines cut prices to fill seats through the cold, quiet stretch of winter. Early June and late August — the fringes of the summer travel window — can also offer a smaller dip in fares compared to the peak weeks around them, if summer travel is your only option.
How far ahead to book
For off-peak, shoulder-season travel, 2 to 4 months ahead tends to land the best fares. If your dates fall anywhere in summer, around the Christmas–New Year period, or near a major French public holiday, book earlier — 4 to 6 months out is the safer window, since international demand into Paris fills seats well ahead of the actual travel dates.
A routing tip worth knowing
Paris is served by three airports — Charles de Gaulle (CDG), the main hub for long-haul and international routes; Orly (ORY), closer to the city center and popular for European and domestic flights; and Beauvais (BVA), further out and used mostly by budget carriers. Comparing fares across all three, and adding nearby airports on your departure end if you're flexible, can turn up meaningfully cheaper options than defaulting to CDG alone.
